Meghan Markle’s latest Instagram video has caught the attention of eagle-eyed critics and UK royal family’s fans who pointed out a small blunder in the 28-second clip.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, launched her own Instagram account at the start of 2025, using the username @meghan, with her first post going live on Wednesday.

The video was filmed by her husband, Prince Harry, 40, which shows Markle running along the beach in Montecito, California. Dressed in an all-white outfit, Markle writes “2025" in the sand before smiling and running back out of frame.

However, fans spotted a continuity error in the video. Markle is seen running toward the water, looking for the ideal spot to write “2025" in the sand but as she passes by, they point out another “2025" already written in the sand, which means that the final take wasn’t her first attempt.

After returning to social media, Meghan Markle’s profile got a blue verification tick on Thursday.

The former royal already has over 750,000 followers on the platform, even though her first post was just around 21 hours ago.

Along with her first post, Meghan Markle updated her account’s profile photo to a black-and-white picture of herself smiling in a white dress.

The New York Post said that Markle kept the account inactive after setting it up in June 2022.

Before this, Markle shared an Instagram account with her husband under the handle @sussexroyal.
