NMDC pegs iron ore prices at ₹5,250 and ₹4,500 per tonne

NMDC Limited has fixed its iron ore prices effective from August 08, 2026, with Lump Ore priced at ₹5,250 per tonne and Fines at ₹4,500 per tonne.

This public-owned company announced this through an exchange filing, setting the foundational cost for purchasers of the state-owned miner’s key commodity.

These rates are essential for downstream steel producers who depend on these materials for their production expenses.


Lump Ore (65.5%, 10-40mm) @ ₹ 5,250/- per ton.
Fines (64%,-10mm) @ ₹ 4,500/- per ton.Note: The above are FOR prices that are exclusive of Royalty, DMF, NMEDT, Cess, Forest Permit Fee, transit fee, GST, environmental cess, and other taxes.

Earlier, at the beginning of the month, the Hyderabad-based company shared its business update, in which it reported a rise in monthly and cumulative production from the Chhattisgarh and Karnataka sector. Total production rose to 4.06 metric tonne in July 2026, compared to 3.09 metric tonne in July 2025. The cumulative figure stood at 19.16 metric tonne in July 2026, compared to 15.09 metric tonne a year ago.When we take a quick look at the share price of the company, the company stock closed lower on Friday's session, falling over 1%. In addition, NMDC shares have seen a rise in value of close to 1% in the past 6 months of trade. The stock price is sitting at ₹85.24 and is away from the 52-week high mark of ₹97.49 per share.
