Ground Report: Beirut remains tense after Israeli strikes hit Lebanon's capital
Four people from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) were killed on Sunday after Israel conducted its first strike within Beirut's city limits, escalating hostilities against Iran's allies in the region. After the attack by Israel in the Kola district of Lebanon's capital, India Today's Ashraf Wani reached the spot to bring out the latest updates from the spot. This is the first time that Israel targeted a political party of Sunni Muslims in Lebanon since the outbreak of the war last year. In the attack, the building sustained significant damage and people were also asked to vacate the area soon after the attack. As many as 50 cars were also damaged in the attack by Israel. According to Lebanon's Health Ministry, more than 1,000 Lebanese have been killed and 6,000 wounded in the past two weeks, without saying how many were civilians. The government said a million people - a fifth of the population - have fled their homes.
