China’s foreign ministry said that it is willing to work with India and is viewing the bilateral relations “from a strategic and long-term perspective”.

China is ready to work with India to advance diplomatic ties and stable bilateral relations, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said.
As Beijing and New Delhi mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China’s foreign ministry said that it is willing to work with India and is viewing the bilateral relations “from a strategic and long-term perspective" to boost strategic mutual trust and deepen exchanges across fields.

Earlier, President Droupadi Murmu and her Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages. Chinese Premier Li Qiang also exchanged congratulatory messages with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said the bilateral relations should take the form of a ‘dragon-elephant tango’ – a dance between their emblematic animals. Xi Jinping said it was the right choice for India and China to be partners of mutual achievement as evidenced by the development of bilateral relations, as per a statement carried by state-run Xinhua News Agency.
