Members of the Indian community in the United Kingdom held a strong protest outside the Pakistan High Commission in London, condemning the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, in which 26 tourists lost their lives.

The demonstrators, carrying Indian flags, banners, and placards, expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives and demanded justice for the victims.

The protesters chanted slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Pakistan Murdabad,” while holding signs that read “I am Hindu.” They accused Pakistan of sheltering and supporting terrorist groups responsible for cross-border attacks.

One of the protesters told news agency ANI, “They (Pakistan) have nurtured a terror factory, and because of which our 26 people were killed in Pahalgam. We have gathered to protest against it."

Another member of the Indian diaspora emphasized that the entire Indian community in the UK is agitated over the “heinous attack,” describing the gathering as a peaceful yet firm display of solidarity and grief.

An Indo-Jewish protester highlighted common concerns, saying the Jewish community supports India, as both nations face threats from radical Islamist terrorism. He compared the Pahalgam tragedy to the 2023 Hamas attack on Israel.
