Several bogies of Pakistan’s Jaffar Express train were derailed after explosions on the railway track near Jacobabad in Sindh province on Wednesday.

In March this year, the same train– Jaffar Express– was hijacked by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) insurgents near a mountainous area south of Quetta in the restive province of Balochistan. Hundreds of passengers were taken hostage and over two dozen security personnel of Pakistan were killed by BLA forces.
