In another shooting incident, security guards shot an individual outside Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters in Virginia’s Langley on Thursday.
Calling it as a “security incident", the agency said that the shooting was not fatal, according to NBC News.
“There was a security incident that law enforcement responded to outside CIA Headquarters," a CIA spokesperson told the news outlet.
After the incident, the CIA shut the main gate of the building and urged the employees to seek alternate routes.
“The front gate at Headquarters is closed until further notice. Please use alternate routes for Thursday, May 22nd," the agency said in a post on X.

The incident took place hours after two Israeli Embassy staff members, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were shot and killed outside Washignton DC’s Capital Jewish Museum.
Reportedly, there is no evidence that the two incidents are linked.
A 30-year-old suspect, identified as Elias Rodriguez, was arrested, after which he shouted, “Free, free Palestine". He hailed from Chicago, the police said.
The DC Police launched an investigation into the incident and are probing the shooting across the street from the FBI’s Washington Field Office, which is located near the museum. The Israeli Embassy was in touch with the local authorities.
After the attack, Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu called for additional security in all Israeli missions across the globe.
The Israeli ambassador was not at the location when the shooting took place, an embassy official told CNN.
