Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a rousing welcome as he arrived in Colombo for a three-day visit to Sri Lanka on Friday.
In a special welcome, despite the rain, six top ministers of Sri Lanka government–Vijitha Herath, Nalinda Jayatissa, Anil Jayantha, Ramalingam Chandrasekar, Saroja Savithri Paulraj and Chrishantha Abeysena— received the Indian Prime Minister at the airport.

PM Modi is visiting Sri Lanka after receiving an invitation from Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. PM Modi concluded his trip to Bangkok earlier today, where he attended BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Summit.
