Jan Suraaj is fighting the upcoming Bihar Assembly election with the ‘school bag’ symbol, and Prashant Kishor has revealed why the party chose a school bag as a symbol.

Speaking to the reporters, Kishor talked about poverty, illiteracy, and employment in the state, adding that the only thing that can end these problems is education.

Taking a swipe at RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and Bihar CM and JDU chief Nitish Kumar, he said, “The last 30-35 years of Lalu-Nitish rule have turned the entire Bihar into a labourers’ state." The children here were forced to carry sacks on their backs."

Giving more insights about the party’s ideology, Kishor said that the children of Bihar would instead carry bags on their backs than sacks.

“Jan Suraaj’s ideology is that the children of Bihar will not carry sacks on their backs but will carry school bags, study, get jobs, and live a good life. We thank the Election Commission," added Kishor.
