Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit India soon, Security Adviser Ajit Doval said during his visit to Moscow. While the exact dates are yet to be finalised, Sputnik reported that the trip is likely to take place in late August.
The announcement comes at a time when New Delhi is facing renewed pressure from Washington, with the US threatening tariffs over India’s continued trade engagement with Moscow despite Western sanctions.
Vladimir Putin’s visit would underscore the deepening strategic ties between India and Russia, even as global geopolitical tensions continue to mount.
