Q2 Results Highlights Updates: Thursday was the kind of day that reminds you why earnings season is never short on drama. Bonus issues, record dividends, heavyweight IT names, FMCG giants, banks and NBFCs all had their moment. If Wednesday felt like a warm-up, Thursday was the main event.

Wipro’s Q2 was broadly in line with expectations. Dollar revenue dipped marginally to $2,611.5 million, while EBIT margin expanded by 50 basis points to 16.5%.

Tech Mahindra had a little more to offer. Net profit rose 8.2% quarter on quarter to ₹1,586 crore, dollar revenue grew 2%, and margins expanded for the 12th consecutive quarter. But it was the shareholder payouts that grabbed attention.

Persistent Systems, meanwhile, continued to build on its growth streak, notching up its 26th consecutive quarter of revenue growth.

HDFC Life turned in a steady performance, with net profit rising 13.6% to ₹508 crore. Value of new business grew 12.1% in the first half of FY27, while new business margins edged higher. It was a quarter of consistent progress rather than a headline-grabbing surprise.
