US President Donald Trump may soon part ways with his red Tesla, as per a new report by The Wall Street Journal. This comes as Donald Trump’s feud with Elon Musk escalated from fiery public remarks against a bill to personal attacks.

A White House official told the WSJ that Donald Trump is “considering selling or giving away" the Tesla, as tensions between the two billionaires boil over in full public view.

The car was reportedly purchased during a White House photo-op to promote Elon Musk’s company at a time when global protests and boycott calls were hitting Tesla.

Donald Trump Says Elon Musk ‘Has Lost His Mind’

Donald Trump, in a series of media appearances, made it clear he has no intention of speaking to Elon Musk anytime soon.

“I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem," Donald Trump told CNN, brushing off questions about the tech billionaire.

In a separate interview with ABC News, the US President was even more blunt, calling Elon Musk “a man who has lost his mind," signalling no thaw in the escalating clash between the two.

Donald Trump- Elon Musk’s Fighting Match

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are locked in an increasingly bitter and public feud- marked by accusations, political jabs and explosive social media posts.

The rift began when Donald Trump publicly criticized Elon Musk during a White House press briefing, backing a bill that could strip away key incentives for electric vehicles- directly threatening Tesla’s business.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore," Donald Trump said during the briefing, suggesting the friendship had frayed. He also accused Elon Musk of being “upset" because EV credits were on the chopping block.

Elon Musk responded with a scathing post on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting that Donald Trump would’ve lost the 2024 election without his support.

“Without me, Trump would have lost… Such ingratitude," the Tesla boss wrote.

Soon after, Elon Musk dropped a political bombshell, claiming Donald Trump’s name appears in the Epstein files. He even liked and replied to posts suggesting that Donald Trump should be impeached.
