Restaurant Brands Asia has appointed Arijit Datta as its new CFO, effective October 8, 2025. Shares of the company ended lower on Tuesday, October 7, by 5.05% at ₹74.90 on the NSE.

The operator of Burger King in India, Restaurant Brands Asia, on Tuesday, October 7, announced the appointment of Arijit Datta as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel (KMP), effective October 8, 2025, according to a company filing.
Following this appointment, Sumit Zaveri, who has been serving as the interim CFO since May 6, 2025, will step down from that role at the close of business hours today.
He will, however, continue as the group chief financial officer and chief business officer, and will remain designated as a key managerial personnel under the Companies Act, 2013.
The company said Datta brings over two decades of experience in strategic business partnering, finance, governance, taxation, compliance, and board processes. Before joining the company, he served as CFO of Pepe Jeans India Ltd, and has also held senior roles at Agro Tech Foods Ltd and Eveready Industries India Ltd.
Datta holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in commerce and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Shares of Restaurant Brands Asia Ltd ended lower on Tuesday, October 7, by 5.05% at ₹74.90 on the NSE.
