Rishi Sunak, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and Infosys co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthy attended the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) on Saturday. A video shared on social media shows the two sitting together at the event.

Sunak, who stepped down as the Conservative Party leader in 2024 after a tough electoral defeat, is married to Akshata Murthy, the daughter of Narayana Murthy.
The festival, in its 18th edition, brings together literary figures, politicians, scientists, and artists from around the world to discuss a wide range of topics.
Akshata Murthy, along with her mother Sudha Murthy, who is also an author and a Rajya Sabha MP, is set to speak in a session titled “My Mother, Myself" on February 3, NDTV reported.
This year, the JLF is embracing the theme of ‘Utsav,’ reflected in its vibrant decor and events. Attendees can look forward to discussions across various fields, including literature, politics, and cinema. Notably, ticket prices have been reduced for the Music Stage, making the festival more accessible to the public.
The festival also highlights a strong partnership with the European Union, bringing together more than 15 EU authors to celebrate the diversity of European literature. The EU’s presence at the festival underscores the importance of cultural and literary ties between India and Europe.
