RRB Technician 2024 Salary structure
The RRB Technician holds a position with a respectable salary structure. This structure varies based on the grade and level of the technician. For Technician Grade 1, at Pay Matrix Level 5, the initial pay is INR 29,200, while for Technician Grade 3, at Pay Matrix Level 2, the initial pay is INR 19,900. RRB Technician job role
The RRB Technician Job Profile outlines several key responsibilities that candidates should be aware of prior to applying. These include the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of railway rolling stock such as locomotives and waggons. Technicians also inspect and test rolling stock for safety compliance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and disassemble and reassemble components as needed. In addition, technicians work with team members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of railway rolling stock.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern and syllabus
The first stage of selection is the computer-based-test (CBT) exam for both Grade I and Grade III applicants separately. Here's an overview of the exam pattern and syllabus-
(i) Total Duration: 90 minutes & Total Questions: 100
(ii) There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
(iii) Normalization of marks will be done for CBT held in multiple shifts.
(iv) Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR & EWS 40%, OBC(NCL) - 30%, SC-30%, ST-25%. These percentages may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates in case of shortage.
(v) The marks scored in CBT shall be counted for shortlisting of candidates for further stages of this recruitment process.
