Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is working on "major defence agreements" with the US. He thanked Trump for announcing to provide Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to his US counterpart Donald Trump for vowing to provide Patriot air defence systems, and said that it is Russia that “isn’t ready for peace" and is trying to make the war “seem like a new normal".
He further said that Ukraine is working on “major defence agreements with the US".
“I am grateful to President Trump for his readiness to help protect our people’s lives. This war continues solely because of Russia, because of Putin’s desire to drag it out. Russia is trying to make the war seem like the “new normal." We must never put up with this. Everything humanly possible must be done to force Russia to stop the killings, to achieve real peace, and to ensure security. Peace is only possible through strength," Zelenskyy posted on X.
