A Russian drone crashed in a cornfield in the village of Osiny, located in Poland’s eastern Lublin province, reported Reuters, citing Polish officials on Wednesday.
The incident, which occurred overnight, left the field scorched and has raised tensions in the region.
The crash site is located more than 100 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and around 90 km from Belarus, placing it in a sensitive geopolitical zone.
Poland’s Defence Minister condemned the incident, calling it a provocation, though further investigation is ongoing.
