Amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Iran struck the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar – an American air base in the country – in retaliation to the US strikes on its nuclear facilities on Monday.

The explosions were heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar. A video from the Doha Mall is going viral on social media, showing people screaming, panicking and running out of the mall.

In the video, women and men were seen rushing toward the exit gate of the mall as the explosions were heard after Iran fired missiles toward Qatar. Following the strikes, the country shut its airspace along with Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE.

Iran Fires Missiles Towards US Military Base In Qatar

In a major retaliation move, Iran fired missiles towards the military bases of the United States in Qatar and Iraq on Monday. Iran’s Security Council confirmed the missile attack on a US base in Qatar.

Issuing a statement, the United States said that Iran fired ballistic missiles; however, there were no reports of US casualties. “Al Udeid Air Base was attacked by short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles originating from Iran. At this time, there are no reports of US casualties," the statement said.

The retaliation after the US bombed three nuclear sites in Iran and marked its entry into the Israel-Iran war. The US stealth B-2 bombers dropped 14 bunker-buster bombs — each weighing 30,000 pounds — on major nuclear enrichment sites in Iran.
