Broader markets outperformed, with the Nifty Bank index rising 1.67% to 49,351, and the Midcap index gaining 499 points (0.91%) to 55,106.
Kotak Mahindra Bank soared 9%, supported by a robust Q3 performance, contributing significantly to the gains in both Nifty and Nifty Bank. HDFC Bank also added to the rally. Wipro jumped 7% following its strong quarterly earnings, while Bajaj Finance rose 4% after announcing a partnership with Bharti Airtel for a digital financial platform.
