Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Nifty has brought curtains to day that was rich in gains. The index closed above the 25,550 mark, just short of 25,600. The Sensex index also gained over 850 points, surging to 83,450 points.
Sensex Today | Stock Market Highlights: The Indian markets have put an end to a weekly session with major gains, as Nifty closed with gains of 261 points, taking the benchmark index settled at 25,585.30. The Sensex also surged with a behemothian uptick of over 850 points, taking the 30-stock index to 83,467.
The Nifty Bank index fell just about 200 points away from scaling its record high mark of 57,628.40. The banking index surged by 622.65 points, closing at 57,422.55
When it comes to companies reacting to results, the shares of Axis Bank is trading with major gains, surging by even 4%. Nestle surged over 4% after its stellar results. The shares of Eternal slumped, falling over 7% from day's high after its Q2 results
In addition, some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks include ITI Ltd, Craftsman, Oberoi Realty, Apar Industries, Asahi Glass, along with others
