Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is in green, trading above the 24,900 mark. The shares of Reliance is carrying the index along with it after Jio's rate tweak. The Sensex is up nearly 200 points.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is trading around the 24,900 mark, after making gains of about 40 points. The Sensex index is also on the rise after gaining close to 1% in the previous session, rising by 200 points.
Unlike Monday's session, which was dominated by auto, today's trade so far is different, as stocks like Maruti, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra and Mahindra are trading in red with the Nifty Auto trading with losses.
Today is also the weekly expiry of the Sensex contracts, which may add to some volatility.
When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Banking index is trading with muted prospects below the 55,800 mark. The broader markets, the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices, are trading with caution. After rising by over 900 points in the previous session, the midcap index is trading with gains of under 0.20%
No decisive developments from the Trump-Zelenskiy-EU leaders meet either, and Wall Street too, remained listless on the first trading day of the week. Watch out for Vedanta ahead of yet another potential dividend announcement later this week.
