Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are on the rise, and are trading on a stromg footing. The Nifty up over 200 points, jumping to 24,200. The Nifty Bank index is up 300 points, rising to 57,000. Infosys, Larsen & Toubro and HUL are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets have started the new series on a blockbuster note, with the Nifty surging over 200 points; the index is rising above the 24,200 mark. The Sensex is up over 800 points, jumping to 77,500.
A narrow, range-bound session means no significant change in the index range, which remains between 23,800 on the downside and 24,000 on the upper end, before moving to last week's high of 24,260.
The Nifty Bank is also on the rise, jumping to 57,000 mark. The index now finds itself in a 56,500 - 57,500 range. Crude oil prices are staging a minor rebound this morning after three days of steep losses.
Today is also a big day in terms of results as nearly 60 companies come out with numbers. L&T could well be the result reaction of the day, followed by brokerage reactions to Avenue Supermarts, HUL, Varun Beverages and others. Keep an eye on Asian Paints, Adani Ports, MTAR Tech, KPIT Tech and others as well.
