Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After a strong start to the week, the Nifty bulls would aim to build on the gains, even as hostilities between Iran and Israel entered the fifth straight day, with no signs of easing so far.

Indian equities fared better as oil prices, a key reason behind the sell-off on Friday, did not rise further, eventually falling, despite the issues at hand. Additionally, the ministry has assured that India has enough oil stock, and the rising prices should not be a cause of concern, at least for now. Wall Street had an uneasy session despite indices ending in the green.

Futures are currently down. The Nifty would first aim to cross Monday's high of 24,967, as the 25,000 level continues to remain a barrier for the index. Monday's surge on the Nifty was also aided by the Nifty Bank, which snapped a four-day losing streak and is back near levels of 56,000. Block deals are back with promoters of Vishal Mega Mart looking to offload some stake, just a day after its shareholder lock-in ended.

Biocon has launched a QIP, Tanla Platforms has announced a share buyback, promoters of Zee Entertainment will infuse funds into the company, and there are plenty of other such specific stocks that will continue to remain in action during the weekly expiry of the Sensex contracts.
