Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:The Nifty barely budged from Friday's closing, trading in a very narrow range. However, there were stock specific reactions aplenty in the broader markets, mostly reacting to quarterly business updates, as is likely to be the case in today's session as well, which also happens to be the Sensex weekly expiry.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equities continue to await the one major trigger that could give them direction over the medium term, and that is more clarity on the much-awaited trade deal between India and the US.
While US President Donald Trump sent out tariff letters to over a dozen countries overnight, there is still no clarity on the situation with India, as it was not part of the list of letters sent out.
The Nifty barely budged from Friday's closing, trading in a very narrow range. However, there were stock-specific reactions aplenty in the broader markets, mostly reacting to quarterly business updates, as is likely to be the case in today's session as well, which also happens to be the Sensex weekly expiry.
Stocks like Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sobha, Macrotech etc. will be reacting to business updates, while Navin Fluorine may react after the launch of its QIP last evening. Also watch out for apparel makers like Gokaldas and KPR Mill after Trump levied a 35% tariff on Bangladesh, which was among the list of letters sent out last night. The tariff uncertainties triggered a sell-off on Wall Street overnight.
