Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty 50 enters this truncated week firmly in the sell-on-rallies mode, setting itself up for a monthly expiry session on Tuesday and ahead of many other important data points to be reported during the course of the week. The index is coming on the back of seven straight losing weeks, something not seen in years.

The bulls have managed to defend 23,000 so far on the downside, but the question is for how long would they be able to do so. Brent crude is back above $106 a barrel after the latest proposal rejection by US President Donald Trump, and bond yields have not cooled significantly either.

The supply of paper continues with block deals and IPOs, while broader market activity remains stock specific. Immediate resistance for the Nifty is at 23,150 - 23,250 zones, while a break below 23,000 could drag the index to 22,700 levels.

For the Nifty Bank, 55,000 on the downside remains key, while supply continues to emerge between 55,700 - 55,800 zones. Watch for Clean Max, Prestige Estates, SAIL, NMDC, RCF among others.
