After a combination of expiry-led moves and the sentiments across global markets, the Nifty closed below the 23,800 mark on Tuesday, a day when it was comfortably above the 24,000 mark at one point.
Reclaiming that 23,800 level will be the first target of the bulls before seeking a move back to the 24,000 mark. After ending at the day's low, the Nifty Bank is back at the lower end of the 57,000 - 58,000 range, one that the bulls would want to defend before the truncated week ends.
Oil prices remain lower, but the dollar continues to firm putting Metals in the spotlight yet again. Also watch for stocks like Bajaj Auto, IRFC, ZF Commercial, Go Fashions, and of course, the underperforming IT names after the Infosys AGM.
