Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Benchmark indices rallied on Friday with the Sensex gaining 769 points to close at 81,721 and the Nifty rising 243 points to end at 24,853. The Nifty Bank gained 457 points to 55,398 while the Nifty Midcap index added 363 points to settle at 56,688.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Despite closing the week with negative returns, Indian equity markets staged a strong recovery in the trading session on Friday. Benchmark indices rallied on Friday with the Sensex gaining 769 points to close at 81,721 and the Nifty rising 243 points to end at 24,853. The Nifty Bank gained 457 points to 55,398 while the Nifty Midcap index added 363 points to settle at 56,688. Both the Sensex and Nifty ended the week nearly 1% lower, with 35 of the 50 Nifty stocks posting losses.
Futures on Wall Street have advanced after US President Donald Trump delayed the imposition of 50% tariffs on the European Union starting June 1, until July 9. The Dow futures gained as much as 320 points post the announcement, while futures on the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have risen 45 points and 200 points respectively.
