Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are in the second half of this Nifty expiry session and the markets are building up on the mometum as the bourse recovers from previous lows. The Nifty up over 250 points, rising towards the 23,750 mark. The Nifty Bank is also moving strong with gains of over 400 points. IndiGo, Shriram Fin and Asian Paints are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon at Dalal Street, and the heat does not seem to have impacted the bulls, as they continue to make gains. The markets are on a roll, and the bulls are making it all count. The Nifty is surging over 250 points, jumping towards the 23,700 mark. The Sensex is also surging over 800 points, rising above the 76,4000 mark.
The biggest positive for the Nifty bulls in today's weekly options expiry session is that crude oil prices were down over 8% the previous night, marking their biggest fall in three months.
For the Nifty, 23,500 now becomes the most important level on the upside, while support at the lower end could now be seen between 23,250 - 23,200 levels. A major part of Monday's move came from Reliance Industries and the bulls will hope that the trend continues after the recent underperformance.
The Nifty Bank also reclaimed the 55,000 mark on Monday after underperforming the Nifty for most of Monday's session. 55,500 will be the next upside level to watch, while support has likely moved higher to 54,500.
