Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is up nearly 50 points, inching towards the 24,650 mark. The Nifty Bank is trading with a deficit of about 0.30%. Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco and ONGC are among the final few Nifty names reporting results today.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are trading on a volatile note. After starting on a negative note, the indices are trading in relatively positive territory. The Nifty index is currently above the 24,600 mark, with an uptick of around 40 points. The Sensex is up about 100 points, inching towards 80,700.
The Nifty Bank, after trading with a deficit of about 0.30% has recovered
The shares of Yatra Online are up 15%, rising for the second day in a row. The shares of Praj Industries have fallen a mammoth 50% from their peak.
Today is also the Sensex weekly expiry and another earnings-heavy day, possibly for one final time for the June quarter.
The 100-DMA remains the key for the Nifty; it managed to hold on to the gains, unlike in previous sessions. Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco, and ONGC are among the final few Nifty names reporting results today, along with a host of Defence and Railway PSUs like RVNL, HAL, Cochin Shipyard and others.
