Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are rebuilding and coming back from the 8-week losing streak as the Nifty 50 index surges over 150 points, scaling the 22,600 mark. The Sensex is also up, surging over 550 points, hitting the 72,500 mark,
On the upside, moving above 22,500 will be key for the bulls before moving further higher towards the 22,750 - 22,800 zone.
IT stocks and the IT index are largely unfazed as they trade lower, despite the strong results and guidance from Accenture, a rally on Wall Street.
The Nifty Bank naturally is surging, jumping over 1.20% or ove 650 points, and is now above 55,000 mark.
Nearly every constituent of the index reported its business update over the long weekend, including Yes Bank and others. 55,000 on the upside will be key, while Friday's low of 54,066 will now be a strong support. Also watch for names like DMart, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Housing, and 10 other companies whose lock-in ends today.
