Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index has fallen below the 25,000 mark, trading with a decline of about 100 points. The Sensex index is falling towards the 81,000 mark, with the index falling by over 400 points. SBI Lifem HCL Tech, Hero Motocorp, Adani Ports are among the major losers
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index appears to have run out of steam, as the 50-stock index has fallen below 25,000 yet again. The Sensex index is also down 300 points.
This comes at a time when sentiments around capital market stocks like BSE and Angel One took a hit after the SEBI chairman's statements on increasing the tenure of derivative expiries. Both stocks are trading relatively muted.
These stocks continue to remain in focus today as well, for any follow-up selling pressure. Broader markets too saw a sharper cool-off from the highs, as most of the high-flying names from this week, such as Ola Electric, Carborundum, HLE Glascoat, witnessed profit booking from higher levels.
After snapping a six-week losing streak last week, the Nifty is poised for its second straight weekly advance, as long as it closes above 24,631. Keep an eye out for Vedanta after its second interim dividend, Clean Science after the block deal saga and Wipro for its latest acquisition.
