Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets are at their day's low; the Nifty index is down close to 80 points. The Sensex is down 300 points. Bajaj Finance, HDFC Bank and HUL are among the losers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is currently below the 24,500 mark, with a minor fall of around 80 points. The Sensex is down by about 350 points, falling towards 80,300. The Indian markets are trading on a volatile note.
The Nifty Bank is trading with a deficit of about 430 points.
When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Smallcap Index and Nifty Midcap Indices are trading with limited movement. The Midcap index is currently down 40 points.
Some of the biggest volume buzzers of the day include Sonata Software, SJVN, Astral, Praj Industries and ACE Ltd.
The shares of Sonata Software are up 10%. PN Gadgil shares rose 10% after its results. The shares of Markans Ind declined by 10% after its set of results. The shares of Praj Industries have fallen a mammoth 50% from their peak.
Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco, and ONGC are among the final few Nifty names reporting results today, along with a host of Defence and Railway PSUs like RVNL, HAL, Cochin Shipyard and others.
