Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index that soared in the previous week is currently trading in the 25,600-25,550 levels, The shares of JB Chemicals, Torrent Pharma, and Jyoti CNC were in focus after large trade.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The markets have started the day on a cautious note, with a tinge of volatility. The Nifty is currently down about 20 points, hovering below the 25,650 mark, over 700 points away from its all-time high. The Sensex also started the day on a similar note. The Nifty Bank, however, started the day at the record high figure of 57,529.95.
The Nifty index has fought to keep it from falling below 25,550 mark.
The shares of JB Chemicals, Torrent Pharma, and Jyoti CNC were in focus after large trade.
In addition, the PSU banking stocks, along with pharma stocks, have started the day on a positive note.
Alembic Pharma shares surged by over 11% due to US FDA approval for an injectable drug. In addition, the shares of Karnataka Bank declined by over 8% after the resignation of the bank's MD & CEO.
As the trade progresses, some of the aspects in focus will be the NSE indices rebalancing, which will take place later in the session.
