Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equity benchmarks Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened with gains on Friday. Nifty 50 remained above 24,500, while Sensex is up 700 points, above 80,950. Bajaj Auto and Ashok Leyland reported auto sales numbers for the month of April. Eternal (Zomato) shares slide 2.5% on weak earnings.

After galloping to new heights in the earlier hours of the day, the indices lost steam in the following hours of today's session.
The Nifty 50 is trading with marginal gains of 0.04%, reaching 24,344.20. Meanwhile, Sensex made gains of 0.26% to reach 80,451.74.
The US markets ended higher on Thursday but at their day’s low. Today marks one month to Donald Trump’s “LIBERATION DAY” announcements. S&P 500, Nasdaq have recovered all the losses made between April 2 – April 8.
