Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are steadily returning to form as the Nifty 50 index scored gains for the third straight session. However, the weekly expiry day volatility affected the progress as the index, despite making gains of over 100 points at the day's high point, closed with an uptick of 60 points, just shy of the 26,000.
Today, the index could scale the aforementioned mark for the first time in nearly a week.
HCL Tech, Bajaj Finance, and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories experienced selling pressure and were among the top losers on the Nifty, while Eternal, Tata Steel, and ONGC lead the gainers.
On Wall Street, owing to slow retail sales data, the US markets and the indices there largely closed in the red.
