Auto sales numbers get reported today and tomorrow, and after the festive bump-up, all eyes will be on whether that demand has been sustained.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates:The final month of the year is already here, and the Nifty, after a 20% recovery from the April lows, managed to scale a new peak last Thursday before going into snooze mode. 140 points defined the Nifty range over the last two sessions.
However, the first week of December promises to be anything but snoozy. With global cues lacking due to the thanksgiving weekend last week, all eyes are on important domestic triggers. Auto sales numbers get reported today and tomorrow, and after the festive bump-up, all eyes will be on whether that demand has sustained.
The winter session of parliament also begins today and the Health Security se Security Cess bill will keep the cigarette stocks like ITC and peers on the radar. Finally, the week culminates with the RBI policy decision on Friday. The central bank will have to grapple with record low inflation but a strong GDP print reported last Friday before zeroing in on a rate decision.
The Nifty Bank continues to remain near the 60,000 mark and banks will remain in focus ahead of the RBI policy. Watch out for the broader market breadth, the IPO rush which returns to Dalal Street, and movement in commodity prices such as oil, Gold and Silver.
