Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The market is looking nervy; even the bulls hope to close the week in green. The Nifty is trading around 23,900, with a rise of around 30 points. The Nifty bank is also trading largely flat, as the index is aiming for the 54,900 mark. Infosys, Wipro and Coal India are the top gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The market returns to trade after Thursday's trading holiday and the Nifty bulls would aim to end the truncated week on a high.
However, they have to counter the recent escalations in US-Iran tensions, despite reports suggesting that a final text for the potential MoU has been agreed upon. Any official announcement in this regard could boost sentiments. Oil prices have not reacted much to either the escalation or the reports of a potential deal.
Brent continues to remain below $100 a barrel and the bulls would take that with both hands. For levels, 24,000 continues to act as a barrier for the index, while a close above 23,800 will be crucial to head into the new month on a positive note.
Same for the Nifty Bank, a close above 55,000 for the week will be taken positively, with 54,750 - 54,500 zone emerging as an immediate support. For weekly gains, the indices need to close above 23,719 and 54,055 respectively. Keep an eye on stocks like Asian Paints, IndiGo, PG Electroplast, Ashok Leyland, PB Fintech and others.
