Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty is trading with a rise of 50 points, pushing past the 25,100 mark. The Sensex index is trading with gains of nearly 200 points. Some of the stocks keeping Nifty in green are Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, Reliance and SBL Life.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is on volatile terrain on the expiry day session, as the 50-stock index is trading above the 25,100 mark, with gains of 70 points. The Sensex index is trading with a rise of over 200 points, crossing the 82,000 mark.
When we look at the broader markets, the lukewarm movement continues as the banking index and the mid-cap and small-cap indices are trading with limited change. The midcap index has fallen 400 points from its day's high to turn negative and trade with losses of over 0.20%.
Shares of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) fell as much as 5% after Tuhin Kanta Pandey, chairman of market regulator SEBI, made new statements with regard to the tenure of equity derivatives.
Some of the major movers are Jupiter Wagons, trading with a surge of about 10%. The New Indian Assurance and Happiest Mind are also trading with gains of about 7%.
Some of the biggest volume buzzers among the Nifty 500 stocks are Clean Science, Jupiter Wagon, Happiest Minds, India Cements, Tejas Network, and Chola Holding, among others.
The shares of Clean Science fell a major 7% after the company witnessed a large trade in the early hours of the day's trade. Later on the company surged 7%.
The shares of India Cements rose by over 3% after reports of the sale of stakes by Ultratech. Meanwhile, the Ultratech shares dipped marginally.
