Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is above the 24,600 mark, after surging by over 130 points. The Sensex index is up above nearly 200 points. Among the top gainers at the Nifty 50 end, Apollo Hospital, Hindalco, Cipla and Hero Motocorp were among the leading stocks.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After a minor slowdown, the Indian markets are trading with major gains as the Nifty index is up over 140 points. The Sensex is also in green, rising by over 350 points. The Nifty is moving closer to the 24,650 mark.
The Nifty banking index, on the other hand, remains range-bound as it is trading in green with a rise of just about 0.18-0.25%.
When we look at some of the buzzing stocks, the shares of NMDC Steel have risen by over 12% after the company announced its Q1 results. Apollo Hospital and ONGC shares are trading with gains after their respective Q1 results.
Some of the biggest volume buzzers of the day, with higher-than-average volume movement, are NMDC Steel, Honasa, JM Financial, Nykaa, and EI Hotel, among others
When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices are holding the ground, with the Smallcap 100 index up 0.60% and the Midcap 100 index up 400 points.
BPCL, Jubilant Foodworks, IRCTC, Hindustan Copper, ABFRL, United Spirits, and Deepak Nitrite, among other broader market names, will be reporting results today.
