Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index has undercut the initial volatility, with the index moving above the 25,000 mark. The Sensex is up about 200 points. Some of the biggest gainers of the days are Infosys, Eternal, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and Nestle.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty Index, after trading cautiously, is now well above the 25,000 mark. The Sensex index is trading with gains of about 200 points and is trading above the 81,800 mark.
This comes after starting the week on a note of optimism for the Nifty bulls with two successive days of gains.
The larger markets are in focus, once again outperforming the marquee indices. The Midcap and Smallcap indices have managed a major recovery, with the Midcap rising by 0.48% and Smallcap increasing by 0.32%.
The banking index is under pressure, trading with losses of 0.32%, falling below the 57,700 mark.
FMCG and IT stocks are trading higher, while the Nifty Media, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Health are some of the sectoral indices trading with losses, under pressure.
25,000 continues to remain the key for the Nifty, while 24,750 - 24,850 could act as a support zone on any potential downside.
