Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: After seeing four consecutive days of decline and losing about 450 points in the same period, the Nifty index is up 50 points, trading towards 25,250. The markets are largely surging in green, as the Sensex index also rose over 400 points.

In addition, the Nifty Bank Index is also trading with a rise of over 300 points. The Indian markets have surged in the past hour and a half, pushing themselves out of the sluggishness of the previous sessions.

One of the major reasons behind the resurgence in today's trade is the recovery exhibited by the IT stocks, which were trading low after IT stocks, namely HCLTech and TCS, reported underwhelming numbers.

When it comes to the major movers in terms of higher-than-average volume, the top stocks with major movements are Facts Ltd, Tejas Network, Tata Tech, Gillette, and HCLTech.

In some major results today, HDB Financial will be reporting its first result as a public company, along with stocks like HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, ICICI Lombard, Bank of Maharashtra, General Insurance Corp and others.
