Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The euphoria of the record high has cooled, as markets cool from the day's high while trading in green. The Nifty is down over 50 points, the Sensex is down over 100 points. This comes after the Nifty, after 14 long months, finally hit the record high mark, crossing the previous September 2024 high of 26,277. The Sensex is also up over 300 points, within touching distance of its own high mark.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets are now trading off the day's high after hitting record levels earlier in the day. The Nifty is now down over 50 points, and the Sensex is down 110 points. Earlier, the Nifty index finally crossed over and attained what looked unattainable, at least for 14 months. The Nifty index has crossed past the previous high of 26,277, to set a new record high mark of 26,306.95
The Nifty Bank has also managed to hit the record high mark, continuing on the positive record-breaking continuum.
The Nifty Bank is up over 11% from September 27 last year, when the Nifty had made its previous top. For today's session, the November 20 high of 26,246 will be the first level to watch, followed by the 26,277 level.
The index has recovered 19% from the tariff tantrum lows of 21,745 that it fell to in April of this year.
Some of the biggest gainers among the Nifty 500 stocks include Gillette, Tata Teleservice (Maharashtra), Reliance Infra, Ashok Leyland, and Godrej Agrovet along with others.
