Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is trading in the 24,590-24,630 levels. The defence stocks are under pressure, while the IT stocks, especially the mid-cap IT stocks, rise. The Nifty Bank is trading with a deficit of about 300 points.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Indian markets have continued to remain volatile in today's session so far, moving from red to green. The Nifty index is currently above the 24,600 mark, with a rise of around 30 points. The Sensex is up by about 80 points, trading above 80,600. The Indian markets are trading on a volatile note.
The Nifty Bank is trading with a deficit of about 300 points.
When we look at the broader markets, the Nifty Smallcap Index and Nifty Midcap Indices are trading with limited movement. The midcap index has recovered over 200 points from the day's low.
The shares of Sonata Software are up 10%. The shares of Praj Industries have fallen a mammoth 50% from their peak.
Apollo Hospitals, Hindalco, and ONGC are among the final few Nifty names reporting results today, along with a host of Defence and Railway PSUs like RVNL, HAL, Cochin Shipyard and others.
