Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is back at a key support level of 25,500 and sustaining above that will be the key for a move back to 25,700 levels. On the downside, Friday's low of 25,318 also becomes a key level.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty is coming on the back of two straight weekly losses in what could be the final week of this quarter's earnings season. Globally, hopes are rising for the US Government shutdown to end, but the focus for our markets has been the reaction to earnings from companies.
The bulls would be hopeful that the momentum from Friday's recovery, which saw the index recover nearly 200 points from the lows of the session, would sustain going into the new week.
The Nifty is back at a key support level of 25,500 and sustaining above that will be the key for a move back to 25,700 levels. On the downside, Friday's low of 25,318 also becomes a key level. The Nifty Bank's 700-point recovery on Friday was a key contributor to the Nifty reversal and the focus will remain on banking stocks.
The other big primary market event is the listing of Lenskart, whose much-talked-about IPO was subscribed 28 times but the unlisted market reports suggest that the GMP has declined to zero.
Today's session will see earnings from companies like Vodafone Idea, Bajaj Finance and ONGC, among others, while Bajaj Auto, Trent, NALCO, Torrent Pharma among others will also be reacting to their results. Watch this space for all the Live updates.
