Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The Nifty index is up over 110 points. The index has surged past the 24,700 mark. The Sensex index is also in the green with gains of close to 350 points. Reliance, Powergrid, Tata Consumer, Coal India, and NTPC are among the major gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: On the day of NSE's revised expiry day, the Nifty index, after starting on a cautious note, has pushed itself further. The 50-stock index is up above 110 points, moving closer to the 24,750 mark.
The Sensex is also trading with gains, rising over 350 points, inching towards the 80,750 mark. The Nifty Bank is a little subdued compared to the two main indices. The banking index is trading with an uptick of around 0.14%.
The Midcap and Smallcap indices are running fast and are outperforming the frontline indices yet again. The Nifty Midcap 100 index is up 287.30 points. The Nifty Smallcap index is up 0.60%.
Some of the biggest volume buzzers among Nifty 500 stocks are Renka Sugar, Balrampur Chini, ITI, Apollo Tyre, Triveni Engineering and Sun TV are among the big movers.
Thursday's high of 24,702 becomes the first level on the upside for the Nifty, while Monday's low of 24,432 is an important support. Keep an eye on the beaten-down names such as Ola Electric and MobiKwik, which surged on Monday.
