vSensex Today | Stock Market Live Updates: The markets are moving with a great amount of caution, as the bulls look to protect key levels, even as the Nifty index looks likely to close in the green. The Nifty above the 24,600 mark with small cuts. The Sensex is down close to 300 points, falling to 78,900.
This pace of the market comes as the first week of CAS has been anything but smooth for the bulls, even as the index has now gained in six out of the last seven trading sessions. The bulls would most certainly end the week with gains with the Nifty needing a close above 24,383 for the same.
The index holding on to 24,500 levels on the downside is something that the bulls will be pleased with as analysts believe it is forming a base for a move, first towards 24,800, and eventually to record levels. Crude oil prices though, have staged a minor rebound overnight with brent returning to above $80 a barrel.
India's largest lender, SBI will be reporting its results today and that will keep the entire PSU Bank basket in focus, even though most of SBI's peers have already reported results.
