Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: We are at the halfway mark of today's trade, and Dalal Street remains in tight volatile spot. The markets are walking on a tone of caution, with the Nifty trading around the 24,000 mark with limited movement. The Nifty Bank index is a slightly better position, rising over 100 points and moving to 55,400. Eternal, ONGC and Hindalco are among the major gainers.
Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: It is past noon on Dalal Street, and the Indian markets are trading on a cautious note as the crisis in West Asia seems far from over. The Nifty is moving around the 24,000 mark, with limited to no movement. The Sensex index is also on similar ground, trying to find stability around the 76,500 mark.
The 24,000 mark still remains crucial, despite closing above 24,000 for the first time in nearly 3 weeks. Meanwhile, 24,250 is the next hurdle, followed by 24,350 and then the April 21 swing high of 24,601.
Chartists tracking the Nifty Bank expect the index to test levels of 57,500 on the upside, provided 54,000 is protected on a closing basis. For the Nifty, that level is 23,800. Watch for stocks like OMCs, Suzlon, RVNL, Aditya Birla Fashion, Hitachi Energy, IRCTC among others.
