Perfect expiry, because it provided opportunities to both bulls and the bears. Those who booked profits at higher levels made money earlier in the day, while those who bought the dip during the final hour of trade, also made money.
The Nifty now lies at the crucial 25,500 zone, and crossing that level could open the doors for a move towards 25,669, which is the highest level of 2025 for the index.
The Nifty Bank saw its 12th straight day of gains and it continued to power the Nifty ahead. The Nifty Bank is now above both key levels of 55,300 and 55,700, putting the spotlight on the 56,000 mark next. The banking index has not closed above the 56,000 mark in nearly two months.
Watch out for the Adani Group stocks today after the SEBI decision last evening, along with names like Indian Hotels, JSW Energy, Texmaco Rail, among other stocks. Keep an eye on Vodafone Idea as well ahead of its AGR hearing in the Supreme Court.
