Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: What a day today is! The penultimate day of the week is nothing short of news and action. Firstly, the Nifty 50's recovery is set to be tested today. Crude oil prices rebounded overnight and are back above $100 a barrel. More importantly, bond yields saw a very sharp jump overnight and the 10-year note in the US rose to its highest since 2007.

Today is also the monthly expiry of the Sensex contracts. It is also the day when the Stock Exchange (NSE) becomes a public company with its listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Block deals are showing no signs of slowing down with at least two more lined up after seven that took place on Wednesday. Insurance as a sector will be in focus after the draft IRDAI norms on distribution reforms.

For the Nifty, the index continues to find resistance at 23,500 and that remains the key on the upside. In case the market does head lower, the 23,350 - 23,280 zone could be the first line of support, followed by the 23,250 - 23,200 zone.

For the Nifty Bank, the index closed above 56,500, which is a positive, but sustainability is key. The 56,000 - 57,000 range remains. Keep an eye on PB Fintech, insurers, Nephroplus, Sedemac Mechatronics, Bharat Dynamics and others.
