Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: The GIFT Nifty is trading with a discount of about 17 points, indicating a muted start to the day. Friday's low of 24,337 will be the first level to watch, followed by 24,150, which was the Nifty low made during Operation Sindoor in May. The fact that the Nifty ended at the lows of the day on Friday would not please the bulls either. However, with this being a truncated week, positioning and volumes could remain on the lower side.
There is yet to be any meaningful progress on the 50% tariff imposition from the US, but the main trigger for the week would be on Friday, when US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin meet in Alaska. Markets, though, would be shut that day on account of Independence Day. Friday's low of 24,337 will be the first level to watch, followed by 24,150, which was the Nifty low made during Operation Sindoor in May.
The management of PG Electroplast joins today to discuss the sharp guidance cut and the subsequent crash. Also watch for earnings reactions from Tata Motors, Voltas, and Manappuram Finance, among others. With most Nifty earnings done for, Ashoka Buildcon, SJVN, Bajaj Consumer, BEML, IPCA Labs, Praj Industries, and Titagarh Rail, among others, will be reporting results today.
